Satan entered the marriage first in the garden (Genesis 3) and since then marriages have suffered headaches, heal spurs and hot-flashes (Genesis 3:15-16 "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. 16Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow...").
The three donts' in marriage;
1. Don't hide anything from your spouse (Genesis 3:1). We should never allow the enemy to isolate us and speak into our ears without informing our spouses. Always keep your spouse informed of your temptations, fears and challenges.
2. Don't hide anything from God (Genesis 3:8). Adam and Eve became tree hugger's instead of God lovers in their garden home. They hid behind the trees in the garden instead of facing the facts in their marriage.
3. Don't defer responsibility to others (Genesis 3:12-13). Adam and Eve blamed each other and the devil when they should have taken responsibility for their own sins. Don't be a victim, be a victor by facing God with your marriage problems. It's time to allow God to put some skins on our naked and exposed problems.
I truly believe that God honors marriage and he honors leaders that promotes healthy marriages.
