The Ways of God

Isaiah 55:6-13 Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord , And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord . “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. “For you shall go out with joy, And be led out with peace; The mountains and the hills Shall break forth into singing before you, And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress tree, And instead of the brier shall
come up the myrtle tree; And it shall be to the Lord for a name, For an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.”
There are three things to consider here in the passage:
1. The Word of God (His written law)
2. The Will of God (His direction)
3. The Ways of God (His nature and character)
We are not just leaning about the word of God, we are also learning about how to function in the ways of God. Our desire is not just to know more about Him, but we desire to know more of him. More than just a good devotional bible study, we must learn how to follow, function and flow with the Father's heart on a daily basis. The only way that I know to do this is to spend time with Him.
Our church is learning, both individually and corporately all the of these valuable lessons. We are being fed the word and we are constantly learning to operate in the school of the Spirit. We are in a relationship with the father and he is putting on a display of the school of his spirit. I am convinced now more than ever that God uses the five-fold ministry as part of the school of the Spirit.
Check out Ephesians 4:11-16 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in
love.
We are learning the word, the will and the ways of God, so that we can be equipped, edified and grow into the fulness of Christ, in order to bring heaven to earth. We are not just praying, thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, we are, in real time, activating heaven on earth. Bringing it down so to speak.
So be encouraged and rest assured today, as your knowing is growing and your growing is knowing more about the things of God. Have a great week!
